Another glorious day was spent wandering around the southern mountains of Colorado…I can never get enough of the beauty my native State has to offer.
This time, we traveled North to Buena Vista, CO. To my surprise, my favorite little coffee shop is still there selling espresso milk shakes. If you’re ever in the area, look for Brown Dog Coffee Company on Highway 24 in Buena Vista.
From Buena Vista, we enjoyed a beautiful rolling drive over Cottonwood Pass, down into Taylor Reservoir and finally, to Gunnison, CO. We logged 400 miles on this trip, and our journey took us through Westcliffe, Cotopaxi, Salida, and over Cochetopa Pass into Saguache and Monte Vista. It amazes me just how much of this awesome state we can see in one day!
